It's the final week of the 20th Annual Environmental Extravaganza! Come join us as we explore and learn about nature in Surrey - there's something for everyone.

The complete Extravaganza Event Guide is available for download now. In April, pick up a hardcopy at the Surrey Nature Centre, your local Surrey Library or Recreation Centre, or any Extravaganza event.

Please note: event hosts reserve the right to limit group registration sizes.

Nature Play at the Surrey Nature Centre
Join us for some forest fun! Our leader will engage children in outdoor play with activities such as storytelling, nature arts and exploration, games and best of all, child-led free play. Ages 3-5, parent participation required.

Guided Walk: Godwin Farm Discovery - for Kids!
Get to know one of Surrey’s newest parks with lots of hands-on activities! Ages 5+, parent participation required.

Marine Creatures and Eelgrass Meadows in Boundary Bay          
Learn about marine creatures and eelgrass habitats on our local beaches, then take a guided walk down 1001 Steps (actually 300 steps) to the beach. Light refreshments provided. Bring lunch, water, and a hat. Rain or shine  - dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear.

Nature Work Party at Bose Forest Park
Get your hands dirty removing invasive plants to prepare three local parks for fall tree planting events. Bring friends and family - everyone is welcome to volunteer! No experience needed; tools, training and light refreshments provided. Dress for the weather and wear close-toed shoes.
