Explore and learn about nature during Environmental Extravaganza! Environmental Extravaganza is an 8 week series of events that take place between April 14 and June 9, 2018.

Here is what's happening during the 7th week of the Environmental Extravaganza!

Salmon Dash ‘n Splash
Join us by the water park for fishy-themed family fun and 300m fun runs that take off at 1pm and 3pm. Dress for a wet and wild time!

Can You Spot the Spotted Owl?
Learn about BC’s most endangered bird of prey, the northern spotted owl. Explore the life of the mysterious northern spotted owl through games and activities. Please note: our birds are wild so no live owls will be present at the program. Ages 6-12, parent participation required. Pre-registration required; email: nsobreedingprogram@gmail.com

Discovery Day
Take advantage of the Pro-D day and head to the Surrey Nature Centre to discover nature in Surrey. Kick start your adventure in our Sky room with hands-on exploration and a story (daily at 10:30am) then head outside to the forest for a variety of guided outdoor activities.

Youth Work Party
Drop in, get your hands dirty and meet other youth as we remove invasive plants and clean up litter in the park. No experience needed! We’ll provide tools, training, and snacks (please bring your own water bottle). Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear. All high school-aged youth welcome.
