Nature Play at the Surrey Nature Centre
Join us for some forest fun! Our leader will engage children in outdoor play and activities such as storytelling, nature arts and exploration, games and best of all, child-led free play. Ages 3-5, parent participation required.

Grand Opening: Godwin Farm Biodiversity Preserve
Help us celebrate the opening of Surrey’s newest park, recently acquired from the Godwin family through the Federal Eco-Gifting program. Get to know this special place with nature walks and nature play activities, and enjoy entertainment for the whole family. Join us for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 12:30pm. Please note: dogs are not permitted in this park.

Recycling Fair
Learn how to recycle through interactive games and activities! While you’re here, drop off your paper and bottles to our onsite collection bins and enjoy a BBQ lunch (by donation), a nature walk, and storm drain marking.

The Glades Garden Open House
Discover the story of The Glades as you walk in this stunning woodland garden featuring over 2500 rhododendrons and a collection of heritage trees. Trails are bark mulch with limited wheelchair access. No pets, please.

Darts Hill Open House and Plant Sale
Wander among the mature trees and flowering shrubs of this 7.5 acre plantsman’s garden and check out our children’s plant hunt, plant sale, or a guided walk (leaves at 11:30am from the meet and greet area). Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer questions.

Nature Work Party at the Surrey Nature Centre
Get your hands dirty removing invasive plants to prepare three local parks for fall tree planting events. Bring friends and family - everyone is welcome to volunteer! No experience needed; tools, training and light refreshments provided. Dress for the weather and wear close-toed shoes.
