Explore and learn about nature during Environmental Extravaganza! Environmental Extravaganza is an 8 week series of events that take place between April 14 and June 9, 2018.

Surrey Clean Sweep
Celebrate Earth Day by organizing a group to help clean-up your neighbourhood! Sign-up to be a Clean Sweep Leader, choose the area and set a date between April 21st and 28th.

Demystify Your Bike: Maintenance and Mechanics for Beginners
Spring is upon us and summer is coming up fast! Learn basic bike maintenance tips and tricks. This two-hour session covers the fundamentals of how your bike works and how to keep it running smoothly. Bring your bike if you want to learn with your own or come and observe. Ages 13+. Pre-registration required; call 604-598-7366.

Join us for a guided tour with a difference. Listen to a guest speaker: the Sacred Web singers. See interesting displays under the Nordel Overpass before you start your walk with Aline LaFlamme and the Daughters of the Drum. All ages. Help grow Surrey’s urban forest by planting shade trees and improving tree wells. Bring friends and family to celebrate trees, enjoy tree-themed activities and a free pizza dinner (while quantities last). No experience needed; tools, training, and refreshments provided. Celebrate the growing season among mature trees and flowering shrubs in the beautiful Darts Hill Garden. Visit your local Surrey Library for nature themed stories and songs. These programs will enrich your child’s imagination, foster their curiosity about the natural world, and help build their life-long love of reading! All ages, drop-in (unless otherwise indicated).
