Teachers Resources for School Programs

A class entering Historic Stewart Farmhouse

Setting Teachers Up for Success

Historical research begins at home. Surrey's rich multicultural history is easily accessed online through the Surrey Archives and Museum Online Access website. This resource is great for teachers who want to continue learning about local history in the classroom by browsing through photographs, maps and museum artifacts. Students interested in researching their family history can start with the Cloverdale Library’s Family History website.

Teacher's Notes by School Program

Heritage School Programs are offered by the Historic Stewart Farm and the Surrey Archives. The Surrey Museum will also continue to offer programs during their 2017/18 closure through offsite staff delivery and edukits. Teacher’s Notes include pre-visit activity suggestions, follow up lesson plan ideas, online and library resources. Should you have any questions or concerns before your visit, please contact heritageschool@surrey.ca or 604-592-6956.
