Translation – Explanation and Caution

The electronic translation service on the City of Surrey’s web site is hosted by Google Translate. The quality of the translation may vary in some of the languages offered by Google. The goal of the basic translation is to capture the general intention of the original English material.

Google Translate is a free service and currently offers translation in over 50 languages. Unfortunately, not all the languages spoken in the City of Surrey are translated. Punjabi is one of the languages not currently offered, and to remedy the situation, the City has been in contact with Google and they have committed to making Punjabi available in the future.

The City of Surrey cannot guarantee the quality, accuracy, or completeness of any translated information. Before you act on translated information, the City encourages you to confirm any facts that are important to you and the decisions you make.

The City of Surrey offers interpretation services at all its facilities. If you have a question about the material you read on our web site, we encourage you to stop by a City facilities to discuss it. You can also contact the City at (604) 591-4011 to receive interpretation support.

The City is committed to enhancing the accessibility of its web site to all its citizens, and appreciates any feedback that it receives.

Surrey Arts Centre is located 1 block east of King George Boulevard, in Bear Creek Park. The entrance to the parking lot is off 88 Avenue. A pedestrian light is at the main entrance to parking. Parking is free.

How To Get Here

 

Skytrain

The Skytrain terminates 2km from us at King George Boulevard. The station is called King George. From the station turn left (south) and walk against the traffic downhill. A fit person can be at our corner in 20 minutes.

Bus

From the Skytrain you can either catch the #321 White Rock bus at the second to last Skytrain stop (Surrey Central), or across the street from the last station (King George). This bus will drop you off at the corner of 88 Avenue and King George Boulevard.

Routes by Car

From Burnaby, East Vancouver, North Vancouver and West Vancouver
Access the Trans Canada Highway (Hwy 1) travelling east. After crossing the Port Mann Bridge take the first exit for 152 Street. Keep going straight south through the light. You will see the Guildford Shopping Centre on your right. The avenues crossing 152 Street will be 108, 104, 102 and so on. At 88 Avenue, turn right. Bear Creek Park will be on your left after about a dozen blocks. Turn left into the parking area at the light just before the Arts Centre building.

From Vancouver, Richmond, Delta, Ladner and Tsawassen
Leave Vancouver via the Oak Street Bridge. Exit off onto Highway 91 travelling east (sign will say exit for Surrey, Delta, New Westminster). Cross the Alex Fraser Bridge in the right lane and take the first exit for Nordel Way. Nordel Way will overpass Highway 91 and continue east. Nordel Way will become 88 Avenue at 120 Street (Scott Road). Stay on 88 Avenue. When it crosses King George Boulevard you will see the Arts Centre in Bear Creek Park on your right. Enter parking just before the building.

From New Westminster
Use the Pattulo Bridge. This road becomes King George Boulevard. Continue past Central City Shopping Centre. 88 Avenue is approximately 2km from here. Turn left at 88 Avenue and right into our parking lot.
