Join us for the Positive Parenting Workshop Series, for parents and caregivers of 5 to 18 year olds. Workshops take place at locations throughout the city and are free to attend. Visit one workshop or attend them all! Registration is not required and snacks and activities for children will be provided.

Positive Parenting Workshop Series Locations, Dates, Time and Topic

Chuck Bailey Recreation Centre

Join us on Thursdays at 5pm to 6pm for the following discussions. 

  • March 21: Understand why kids push the limits
  • April 18: How to set effective limits
  • May 16: Self regulation strategies for you and your children
  • June 20: How to implement and manage structure and routine

Cloverdale Recreation Centre

Join us on Tuesdays at 6:30pm to 8:30pm for the following discussions. 

  • April 18: Relationships and its connection to parenting
  • April 25: Taking a look at the meaning of challenging behavior and our response
  • May 2: Listening, understanding and communicating with your child or teen.
  • May 16: Problem solving with your child, teen or family.

Fleetwood Community Centre

Join us on Mondays at 4:30pm to 5:30pm for the following discussions. 

  • March 20: Understand why kids push the limits
  • April 24: How to set effective limits
  • May 15: Self regulation strategies for you and your children
  • June 19: How to implement and manage structure and routine

South Surrey Recreation & Arts Centre

Join us on Tuesdays at 6:30pm to 8:30pm for the following discussions. 

  • February 28: Relationships and its connection to parenting
  • March 7: Taking a look at the meaning of challenging behavior and our response
  • March 28: Listening, understanding and communicating with your child or teen.
  • April 4: Problem solving with your child, teen or family.
