Youth Mentorship Program

Group of youth

The Youth Mentorship Program is structured to support high school students and help them better understand appropriate workplace communication, attire, task management, punctuality, and other important employment etiquette. The program involves approximately 10 students each term and places them in various departments of the City with appropriate mentors.

The goal of this program is to give the mentees real world career experience and help them take a positive career path after their placement concludes. In the past the strategic initiative included a similar program managed by Surrey Crime Prevention Society. Due to changes in their programs the strategy will now focus on the City mentoring work only.
