Mobile Command Centre

This 37-foot Command Post was designed to respond to events and incidents that require a sustained communications/command presence on site. The MCC will allow for the control of an incident without impacting negatively on normal emergency operations elsewhere. This vehicle was intended for use primarily with Surrey Fire Service and Surrey RCMP although it has been laid out to facilitate any unified command group. This may include but will not be limited to B.C. Ambulance, Search and Rescue and City of Surrey Engineering. The MCC is equipped with a telephone system that incorporates Priority Access Dialing as well as both fixed and portable satellite phones. This will allow for direct communications with a similarly equipped EOC and Dispatch Centre. The MCC has a washroom, small kitchen and is heated, air-conditioned, has an on-board generator as well as an emergency backup electrical system.
