Land Development Process
Overview
Individuals wanting to develop or change the use of land in Surrey must obtain proper approval from the City of Surrey. Land use policies and development requirements are set out in the Official Community Plan, the Zoning By-law and other public documents. Copies of these documents are available at City Hall and as you click through the diagram below.
If you are applying for a Building Permit and the property does not require a Development Permit, Rezoning or other development application, you can skip to "Submit Building Permit" under the "Construction" column in the process diagram below.
