Cycling and greenway projects

We've got two cycling projects on the go.

Tannery Multi-Use Pathway

The City is constructing a multi-use pathway on Scott Road between Tannery Road and Old Yale Road. This section of the pathway provides an important connection for cyclists and pedestrians, completing a missing gap in greenway connectivity on Scott Road.

Project Timing

  • Construction Start – June, 2016
  • Construction Completion – August, 2016

As work progresses, there may be changes to our planned schedule. We encourage you to check here regularly for updates.

Fraser Heights Greenway

The City Engineering Department is constructing the Fraser Heights Greenway between 160 Street and 168 Street, running parallel to Highway 1, following the approximate alignment of the Kinder Morgan TransMountain oil pipeline ROW. In turn, the Fraser Heights Greenway will be a continuous cycling route of 5.5 km, connecting Port Mann MUP to Tynehead Overpass.

Project Location

The figure below shows the ultimate pathway between 160 St and the Tynehead Overpass in the green/black dashed line.  The red alignment shows the sections that are scheduled to be constructed as part of the current construction project.  The remaining sections will be delivered through either a future City Capital project or a development application.
