LED Street Lights

LED street lights can save up to 30% in energy consumption

The City of Surrey is working to improve the experiences of pedestrians, drivers and cyclists on our streets, as well as reduce energy consumption with a city-wide conversion of street lighting to LED.

In 2016 City Council endorsed a five year strategy to replace 28,000 existing streetlights in Surrey with LED lights. LED streetlights last twice as long as high pressure sodium (HPS) lights.
