Surrey Hosts Stanley Cup Community Celebrations!

Surrey – The City of Surrey will be cheering on the Vancouver Canucks and hosting game night celebrations at Central City Plaza beginning Wednesday night!


“Surrey loves great community events and we love our Canucks!” says Mayor Dianne Watts.  “We want to provide a safe, fun, local venue for families to enjoy the games and watch our boys bring home the Stanley Cup.  Go Canucks Go!”


The free, outdoor family-friendly events will take place at Central City Plaza in City Centre on each game night beginning Wednesday, June 1st and will continue through the series.


Planned activities include:

  •  Live television broadcast of the hockey game on a large 12.5 ft by 20 ft TV screen
  • Pre-game entertainment including a DJ
  • Face painting and other children’s activities
  • Roving performers

The event site will open one hour before game time.
