Burning Ban lifted for the City of Surrey
September 24, 2014
On July 16, 2014 the City of Surrey, BC implemented a Burning Ban in conjunction with the Wildfire Management Branch. This ban has now been lifted across the Coastal Region, including the City of Surrey.
This does not mean that residents are permitted to backyard burn in the City, but that landowners on designated farmland with permits issued in 2014 are permitted to burn indigenous material in accordance with Surrey Fire Bylaw #10711.
If you have any questions about burning, please contact Surrey Fire Prevention at (604) 543-6780 or email email@example.com
