Surrey, BC - Surrey Mayor Dianne Watts further cemented Innovation Boulevard as Canada's global technology gateway today, fostering a partnership with the world renowned Israel Center for Medical Simulation (MSR) at The Sheba Medical Center.

"Through adversity and necessity Israel has developed the world’s most respected medical simulation technologies. From the Mayo Clinic to Harvard, world class centres have partnered with Sheba in order to improve healthcare and save lives," said Mayor Dianne Watts.

Innovation Boulevard's Conquer Mobile, Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) and the Fraser Health Authority will engage in joint projects with MSR in order to deliver state-of-the-art medical simulation training to nurses, physicians and other healthcare related professionals.

"Having an opportunity to partner with institutions the calibre of MSR is a dream for a young company like Conquer. The advances we hope to create out of this exciting opportunity could launch Conquer Mobile three years ahead in our business plan and take our innovations to a new level," said Conquer Mobile CEO, Angela Robert.

"With KPU's rapid growth, especially in Surrey, this partnership will truly raise our level of healthcare simulation training to a truly world class level," said Jeff Norris, KPU's Chief Advancement Officer.

As part of the City of Surrey's transformation into Canada's innovation gateway, Mayor Dianne Watts is in Israel on a week-long business trade mission focused on medical technology in partnership with the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA).
