“Surrey’s Canada Day is Western Canada’s largest Canada Day Celebration attracting over 100,000 people annually,” commented Mayor Dianne Watts. “We’re proud to be able to showcase our national pride and community spirit with a celebration suitable for the entire family.”
This year’s stellar entertainment line-up proudly presented by Chevron, runs all day and features a variety of top Canadian acts including headliners Platinum Blonde and Sloan. Canadian rock icons Sloan will excite crowds with their distinctive hard core indie punk sound.
Country fans will love the soulful sounds of Juno Award winning country singer Crystal Shawanda. Peak Performance Project winners, pop-rock duo Dear Rouge will get everyone up and dancing. Innovators of “folk stomp”, Good for Grapes, will thrill with their high energy performance. Cover band Aerosmith Rocks has been thrilling Aerosmith fans across Western-Canada and will bring a highly accurate musical recreation of the Aerosmith experience to fans.
“Coast Capital believes in the importance of bringing together our community through supporting events that offer free family fun,” explains Wendy Lachance, Director of Community Leadership, Coast Capital Savings. “Surrey’s Canada Day celebration has become a great family tradition and one that we are thrilled to be a part of.”
