Request for Quotations

The City of Surrey invites Request For Quotation (RFQ) to provide a completed children’s exhibition (called the Kids Explore Zone or KEZ) at the Museum of Surrey (MoS), including drawings, construction, and testing.

PROJECT GOAL

The KEZ Project is the design and construction of a fully developed kids exhibition called the Kids Explore Zone at Museum of Surrey, complete with flexible areas and components. The KEZ Project is to include the limited reuse of interactives, characters and themes from the existing children’s gallery. The theme is the story of sustainability in Surrey – from local to global.

A.  Exhibit Research and Design (Stage One)
B.  Exhibit Construction Testing, Commissioning and Occupancy (Stage Two)

Work shall be performed by a Contractor experienced in exhibit research, design and construction of children’s exhibitions in cultural centres, science centres and/or museums of a similar nature and scope.  Submissions should clearly demonstrate prior experience.

Addenda
If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFQ, the City’s Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca (the “BC Bid Website”) and the City Website at www.surrey.ca (the “City Website”) that will form a part of this RFQ.  It is the responsibility of Contractor to check the BC Bid Website and the City Website for addenda.  The only way this RFQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum.  No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFQ or may be relied upon by any Contractor.  By delivery of a Quotation, the Contractor is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFQ, including any and all addenda.
