METHODOLOGY
The work shall consist of the ride-on machine mowing of various types of vegetation in park natural areas old-field meadows and renovation sites. The majority of vegetation to be mowed consists of meadow grasses, but may include blackberry, shrubs and tree saplings.  An additional labourer may be required to do ground work, such as brushing vegetation along forest edges, trees and structures. As needed, trails will be blown clear of debris from the mowing/brushing using a backpack blower.  The mowing sites are on varied terrain and slopes and may have rocks and logs present.

The typical machinery required is a boom and a rear mounted flail type mower attachment, brush saw, line trimmer and backpack blower.   The mower cutting height is to be adjustable so that vegetation can be cut up to 6-8 inches in height.

The contractor shall supply all necessary equipment.  Equipment operators must be qualified and experienced in the operation of the equipment.
