Request for Expressions of Interest and Statements of Qualifications

The City intends to engage a qualified contractor for the supply, delivery and installation of refrigeration plant and associated works for arena floor.  This project consists of the ammonia refrigeration plant and arena floor materials.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

North Surrey Sports and Ice Centre

The North Surrey Sports & Ice Complex will be a new facility providing three (3) NHL sized arena sheet spaces for the use by ice and dry floor sports, lessons and recreation.

Cloverdale Sport & Ice Complex
Lots 17770, 17816, and 17848 - 64 Avenue;
17763 and 17836 - 62 Avenue, Surrey, BC

The Cloverdale Sport & Ice Complex will be a new facility providing two (2) NHL sized arena sheet spaces for the use by ice and dry floor sports, lessons and recreation.

SCOPE
The work includes the supply, installation, start up and warranty of a new ammonia refrigeration plant and arena floors for the NHL size rinks for the North Surrey Sports & Ice Centre and Cloverdale Sport & Ice Complex.  The work is to be complete system with piping and controls as per drawings and specifications.  The refrigeration plant is to be capable of making ice in three (3) days in the month of August on one sheet when the one sheet of ice is installed and the other sheets are being flooded.

The concrete slabs will be done by the arena floor contractor.
