Request for Expressions of Interest and Statements of Qualifications

The City prefers that the Respondent is a civil contractor that has experience, capability and resources with projects involving the following:

(a)  Installation of DE piping or installation of welded steel pipe, that requires maintaining an approximately 30 metre length of shored excavation while handling 12 metre long pipe segments, welded in the trench or at grade;

(b)  Construction of shored trenches to depths of 5 metre in urban areas, while maintaining vehicle/pedestrian movement on grade; and

(c)  Installation of steel casing pipes (approx. 0.45 metre in diameter) installed by open cut or by trenchless technology.

Project Description
This project is a joint road and District Energy ("DE") assignment.  The works include:

(a)  Road construction to 103rd Avenue (University Drive to City Parkway) and road frontage works on City Parkway to fnal road standard; and;

(b)  Installation of pre-insulated, welded steel DE supply and return piping on 103rd Avenue (133A Street to City Parkway) and University Drive, varying in size from 75mm to 350mm in diameter.

It is the responsibility of Respondents to check the BC Bid Website and the City Website for addenda. The only way this RFEOI/SOQ may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFEOI/SOQ or may be relied upon by any Respondent. By delivery of a Submission, Respondent is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFEOI/SOQ including, any and all addenda.
