Trade contractors are invited to submit quotations for their trade work relating to the Newton Wave Pool Roof Remediation project.

The City of Surrey (the "Owner") has engaged a construction manager, Heatherbrae Builders Co. Ltd. to coordinate and manage the New Addition Construction at Newton Recreation Center (formerly known as the Newton Wave Pool).  The construction manager is issuing Request for Quotations for the following trades :

  • SBS Roofing
  • Metal Flashing
  • Standing Seam Metal Roofing
  • Painting

This quotation is being issued electronically through the BC Bid website (www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca) where any interested party may download the quotation documents directly from Heatherbrae's shared site using the link below:

A trade site meeting has been arranged for Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., at Newton Recreation Centre, 13730 - 72nd Avenue, Surrey, British Columbia.  While attendance is at the discretion of bidders, bidders who do not attend will be deemed to have attended the site meeting and to have received all of the information given at the site meeting.

All bidders should register with the Construction Manager their intent to bid this project with Carl Massey, Tel:  604-277-2315, Email: carlm@heatherbrae.com.

If during the preparation of your bid, questions, discrepancies, errors, or omissions are discovered in the contract documents, please refer all such issues in writing to the construction manager.  Mark correspondence to the attention of Carl Massey at fax 604-277-2311 or the email address of carlm@heatherbrae.com.

Neither the Owner or construction manager will be responsible for verbal interpretations.  Only addenda in writing will be considered in interpretations of the contract documents.  Neither the Owner nor construction manager shall be responsible for failure of any bidders to receive any such addenda.

Bids will be received by Heatherbrae Builders Co. Ltd. no later than January 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. the "closing" time.  Quotations received after the Closing Time will not be accepted or considered.  Delays casued by any delivery, courier or mail service(s) will not be grounds for an extension of the Closing Time.

Fax and emailed submissions are acceptable.

Quotations will be opened in private and no formal decision will be made until the construction manager and the Owner have completed a detailed review.

If the construction manager chooses to bid any scope of work in this solicitation, it will be requried that their submission be sent directly to the Owner's Purchasing Seciton, in a sealed envelope, and must be received 24 hours prior to the closing time.
