The Emergency Social Services Program is a Provincial Emergency Response Program designed to preserve the well-being of people affected by an emergency or disaster.
Emergency Social Services (ESS) Responders are comprised of City of Surrey staff and volunteers prepared to be called out at any time of the day or night to respond to the needs of people affected by an emergency. They provide comfort and support and depending on the circumstances, essential services and supplies such as shelter, food, clothing, comfort kits and blankets.
